There was once a vampire named Vanitas, despised by his own kind because he was born under a full blue moon while most vampires arise on a crimson one. Fearing for his safety and feeling isolated, he created the "Book of Vanitas," a cursed grimoire that he hoped would one day enable him to seek revenge against all vampires. Or so the story goes.
